Emails: How much is too much?

We use a lot of emails in our community, and they’re a great tool for getting members to sign up for the events. However, it’s tough to gauge whether we are sending too many and sending them to too many people. We distribute to a list of over 17,000, and we must acheive the following goals in regards to emails:

  • Open rate: 21%
  • Click rate: 9%
  • Bounce Rate: 0.60%
  • Unsubscribe Rate: 0.27%

Are these numbers too high? Too low? I’m curious what your deliverables are and the best practices you have implemented when it comes to email!

Thanks, all! Looking forward to seeing you in PDX!
